Cold Steel Bushman w/new survival sheath

Now Lynn Thompson has combined the survival lessons learned from the Bushmen with modern cold forging technology to produce a new survival/ outdoor knife we have named the Bushman (tm)in honor of the hardy tribe that inspired it. STRONG: For the money, the Bushman may very well be the strongest survival/ outdoor knife in the world! Unlike most hollow handle survival knives, there is no joint or seam between the blade and handle that requires a mechanical fastener. Instead the Bushman's blade and integral handle have been expertly cold forged out of a single piece of 2.5mm thick SK-5 high carbon steel. The resulting knife has been heat treated and tempered to RC54 and when subjected to factory tests, has withstood over 2 tons of pressure on its blade/handle transition point without failure!  Every Bushman blade has been carefully ground to an extra thin edge, and then honed and buffed by hand until razor sharp. Re-sharpening is easy, just give it a few licks on a butcher's steel when it starts to fade and it will \pop back\" sharp as ever. And for those without a \"steel\" the Bushman' SK-5 high carbon blade can be easily and quickly restored on any stone or popular re-sharpening system. Specifications: 7" Blade. weight 10.1 oz.
